Thank you so much for supporting
Refugee Women of Bristol.

Our City is a welcoming and supportive network, we assist women to develop good social networks that include, rather than exclude them from the community. We want to empower women to participate in local and national decision-making processes that impact their lives. With your help, we can give refugee and asylum-seeking women a better chance of a fulfilled and safe life.

You can make one-off donations or set up monthly donations.

We pledge to use your donation responsibly and effectively and are accountable for all our finances through the publication of an annual report, including a financial statement. Your donation will provide essential core funding which helps Refugee Women of Bristol to fund invaluable resources for our work such as community support, staff and awareness-raising events. For more details about your donation, you can contact [email protected]

Volunteer for us

Thank you for considering volunteering with us.

We are currently looking for 2 female volunteers to join us to help our members look after their children when the crèche is full. We need someone who has some experience working with children and ideally refugee women.

If you are interested and would like more information please send a message to [email protected]

Please note, our volunteers need to commit to every Tuesday (term time) between 9-3 for at least 6 months. Thank you.

Refugee Women of Bristol is lucky to be supported by a very committed and passionate team of volunteers. They offer their time to provide services such as 1-2-1 Reading, Arts & Crafts and Cooking Skills. We are also very lucky to have volunteers who support our English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes.

English Teacher Volunteer
Women coming to our classes tell us that they gain a great deal of confidence in using English and integrating into their local communities as a result of attending our classes. We welcome women who have an English teaching qualification to join our team of volunteer English teachers to provide an invaluable opportunity for women wanting to improve their English from Pre Entry to Entry 3 level.

English Teaching Assistant Volunteer
The teaching assistant volunteer role is an opportunity for any woman wanting to gain experience in supporting learners in the classroom. A vital role in supporting the English Teacher volunteers, the assistants concentrate on one to one and small group work with guidance from the English Teachers.
Please note all our volunteer roles are only available to women and as such are exempt under Schedule 9 Part 1 Equalities Act 2010.
