Our Advocacy service provides advocacy and information to women from asylum seeking and refugee backgrounds in the areas of health, education, welfare benefits, employment and training opportunities, housing, childcare and leisure. Including help with form filling, making appointments, reading communications etc.

We liaise with other organisations and agencies to set up referral mechanisms for the benefit of clients and make referrals as appropriate.

“Before I came here I didn’t know about the rules… people can tell you the wrong information or take advantage of you. It was not until I came here and it was explained to me that you had to actually register at the job centre to get a job that I understood how the system worked.” (Member in Drop in Evaluation 2013).
