Refugee Women of Bristol is lucky to be supported by a very committed and passionate team of volunteers. They offer their time to provide services such as 1-2-1 Reading, Arts & Crafts and Cooking Skills. We are also very lucky to have volunteers who support our English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes.
English Teacher Volunteer
Women coming to our classes tell us that they gain a great deal of confidence in using English and integrating into their local communities as a result of attending our classes. We welcome women who have an English teaching qualification to join our team of volunteer English teachers to provide an invaluable opportunity for women wanting to improve their English from Pre Entry to Entry 3 level.
English Teaching Assistant Volunteer
The teaching assistant volunteer role is an opportunity for any woman wanting to gain experience in supporting learners in the classroom. A vital role in supporting the English Teacher volunteers, the assistants concentrate on one to one and small group work with guidance from the English Teachers.
